Sir Lawrence Alma-Tadema. The Baths of Caracala, color lithograph framed in original design from the period.

Belgium born Alma-Tadema was the president of the Royal Academy in London, England.

The painting was exhibited at the Colombian Exposition, Worlds Fair, in Chicago, 1893. (q.v., photos Chicago 1893.)
