Consecrated Objects

ua;1997;003;dr.

Russian Chalices and Dried, Shrunken Gloves, &c. Two Chalices from the Russian Orthodox Communion, with dried, shrunken, white womens’ gloves. Wood and leather in somewhat dusty case.

Donation to the Museum in 1997, and part of the series Musicians and Others From the Trade Publications. Although, this display has gained a reputation for being referred to as “The Adulation of Franz Liszt,” by members of the Upper Valley music community, the proper name for this item is given above. It is unknown, at the present date, whether these items should be a part of our natural history, musical, or Religious Studies Collections.
