Evidence of Hobo Life can be seen in blue tarps in relatively undisturbed locations in urban and semi-urban areas—for instance underneath highway and railroad bridges—and through various artifacts from the railroad tracks relating to food, chewing tobacco, alcohol (crushed beer cans) and recreational drug use (empty cough syrup containers)
