Metal Plate with Letters and Numbers. Lightweight metal (perhaps aluminum?) Severely oxidized and in abraded condition. Found of the Connecticut Avenue, Rock Creek Bridge, Washington, D.C. January 20th 2009.
The text of the plate may have some relation to the American Automotive Industry, or an industrial process that may become more intelligible in the light of future research:
