Joseph was born in 1787. Joseph Plimpton ... He passed away in 1860. [1] Joseph Plympton was a 1st Lieutenant in the 4th Regiment, US Infantry during War of 1812; a Captain during the Black Hawk War; a Brevet Major in the Florida War and a Lt. Colonel and Colonel during the Mexican War.
