Joseph L Tidball was born in Pennsylvania 1823. He died in 1907 (aged 83–84) and is buried Forest Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo, Erie County, New York. [findagrave;119749625]

Kan., 1850‑53, — Ft. Riley, Kan., 1853, — and Ft. Atkinson, Kan., 1854; in garrison at Jefferson Barracks, Mo., 1854‑55; on Recruiting

service, 1855; in garrison at Carlisle Barracks, Pa., 1855; (Captain, United States 10th Infantry Regiment, Aug. 25, 1855) on frontier duty at Ft.
